Ann Jelley

Ann produces glass work with her partner; Helen Lake, Glass Artist in Purton. Helen and Ann met in Bristol when they were taking a course at the Creative Glass Guild in 2013 where they learnt many aspects of glass art.

They were commissioned to design and build four windows for the conservatory of Acorns Nursery School in Cricklade. They started working on the designs on 1st April 2014 and were able to hold an 'unveiling' in the same year on the 7th May. Altogether they cut and ground over 600 pieces of glass and fused them as panels, ready to hang as a complete picture.

Their theme for the windows was nature and they decorated the windows with birds, fish, fruit and flowers, each window made up of 16 panels which formed a complete picture.

Ann started painting some 12 years ago and studied botanical illustration with a local artist and with the Eden Project. She wanted to take her art further and became interested in glass.
